The sea shells that we see on the shore when we walk on the beach were once occupied homes. They are a reminder for us to know that we live in a temporary body here on earth, and one day we have to leave this tent to continue to live with Him in heaven in our glorious bodies.
The different colours in the shell show what atmosphere they were exposed to and what they ate. If they were from warm tropical waters, they were exposed to more food sources and will have more colours in their shell. Cold-water, by comparison, is exposed to limited food supplies and the shells are tend to be solid, darker in colours.
What spiritual food are we eating today?
Make use of every season and every situation in life and continue to study His word and learn from it. The more we do that, we are going to be more colourful in displaying God’s beauty to others. Or if we choose to duck our head and hide in dark places during difficult times, the colours of faith that is produced through the tough times and thru the storm will not take its turn to develop its own beauty in us.
2 Cor 14: 16, 17 – So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. (17) For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison.
