God is doing a lot of things around us and in us, do we still have the wonder and awe when we experience Him or do we take it for granted? Never lose the wonder and awe of our mighty God who is painting a beautiful picture in the sky every day for us and making the seasons change every year and bringing the rain and the sun for the plants to grow or protecting us on the road as we travel or meeting our daily needs.
Growing the promise in the dark
Judg 13: 13 And the angel of the Lord said to Manoah, “Of all that I said to the woman let her be careful. 14 She may not eat of anything that comes from the vine, neither let her drink wine or strong drink, or eat any unclean thing. All that I commanded her let her observe.”
The Angel of the Lord appeared again to give instructions, but the instructions were more for her to stay away from any unclean thing, who is going to bear this child.
Your promises may look invisible right now, but already He has separated you and planted the seed to grow in the righteous atmosphere.
Each one of us is conceived with a promise in our life, but how are we preparing ourselves in growing this seed of promise in the dark place. We all want our vision, our promises to be seen outwardly but before it happens, God does a lot of work in us in the dark. He is more interested in the vessel who is going to carry the anointing of God or the anointing can destroy us. If pride and arrogance creep in, it can separate us from God.
Altar to the God of Wonder
Judg 13:19 So Manoah took the young goat with the grain offering, and offered it on the rock to the Lord, to the one who works wonders, and Manoah and his wife were watching. (20) And when the flame went up toward heaven from the altar, the angel of the Lord went up in the flame of the altar.
Manoah is still unaware that he was talking to the angel of the Lord, prepared a burnt offering and asks, “What is your name?”
We all wait for some sign from heaven or for some supernatural to happen. But when it is happening in front of our eyes in our daily life, we are unable to recognise it.
Our salvation is a wonder, God calling us His sons and daughters is a wonder, His call upon our lives to be separated from the world and to live for Him is a wonder, the dreams and the desires he has planted in our lives is a wonder. If we choose to wow at God with every small win in our lives, we are building an altar to honour Him. Not questioning, Are you there Lord? Are you listening to my prayers or what are you doing in my life?
Let us examine and look for the wonderful things he has done so far and yet to do in our lives and also after death, He has promised a kingdom of heaven. It always amazes me and I am in wonder and awe of His abundant love.
